Making Twix Bars at home is really easy and there’s not a whole lot of cooking involved.
- Start by combining all the shortbread ingredients – butter, powdered sugar, flour and vanilla – in a bowl until incorporated. Then press the mix into a prepared cake pan and take to the oven for around 15 minutes or until slightly golden in the corners.
- Then pour caramel sauce over the baked shortbread and refrigerate for round 30 minutes.
- Finally melt chocolate and pour it over the caramel layer. I used a spatula to help me spread it over. Refrigerate again.
- And then just slice it, share it and enjoy it. It’s seriously that easy!

Ingredients
Shortbread Layer:
- 1 cup butter, cold and diced
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cup flour
Caramel layer:
- 1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
Chocolate layer:
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a bowl combine all the shortbread ingredients, mixing until everything is well incorporated.
- Press the dough firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan and take to the oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until barely golden.
- Remove from the oven and pour the caramel sauce over the shortbread layer. Take to the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Pour the chocolate layer over the caramel and refrigerate for 30 more minutes more before slicing.
