Blueberry Pie Oatmeal Recipe

This perfect breakfast recipe is sweet, but surprisingly healthy.

With a base of hearty oatmeal and a dash of vanilla, salt, and cinnamon for flavor.

You’ll cook up your oats in about 3 minutes and then mix in blueberries.

Top your oatmeal with blueberries and yogurt to round out the recipe – and make it feel like a treat – while still being healthy and nutritious.

Then, drizzle a bit of sweetness on top with maple syrup, brown sugar, or a little bit of applesauce to make this breakfast feel like a dessert.

Blueberry Pie Oatmeal in 5 Minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Blueberry pie oatmeal - a yummy, fast, easy and filling breakfast recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup blueberries, divided
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add oats, milk, water, vanilla, and salt. Stir to combine.
  2. Microwave for about 3 minutes, or until oats are cooked through.
  3. When oats are cooked, add half the blueberries (1/4 cup), butter, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
  4. Top oatmeal with yogurt and remaining blueberries. Drizzle maple syrup on top.
  5. For extra sweetness, you can add 1 tablespoon brown sugar or 2-4 tablespoons applesauce.

Tip: To keep oatmeal from bubbling over in the microwave, place a wooden spoon across the bowl while it cooks.

    We love oatmeal and with different fruits ever better to make it tastier! I’ve never had it with blueberries though, will sure try tisi recipe.
